หลังจากที่เว็บแบไต๋เคยรายงานข่าวเกี่ยวกับราคาของ ZenFone 2 ที่จะเข้าไทยไปว่ามีรุ่น ZE551ML ที่มีแรม 4 GB และ ROM 32 GB ราคา 9,990 บาท ด้วยนั้น ล่าสุด Asus ประเทศไทยประกาศว่ารุ่นนี้จะไม่เข้าทำตลาดในไทย
โดยรุ่นที่ Asus จะเริ่มวางตลาดในไทยนั้นจะมี 3 รุ่นด้วยกันคือ
- ZE551ML Ram 4 GB, Rom 64 GB, CPU Z3580(2.3GHz) ราคา 11,990 บาท
- ZE551ML Ram 2 GB, Rom 32 GB, CPU Z3580(2.3GHz) ราคา 7,990 บาท
- ZE550ML Ram 2 GB, Rom 16 GB, CPU Z3560(1.8GHz) ราคา 6,990 บาท
ซึ่ง Asus ไทยก็ประกาศชัดเจนว่า Zenfone 2 ยังไม่วางจำหน่ายในงาน Thailand Mobile Expo แน่นอน โดยจะเริ่มวางตลาดกลางเดือนพฤษภาคมนี้ คล้อยหลังจาก TME ไปไม่เท่าไหร่
