‘In Utero’ อัลบั้มที่ 3 และอัลบั้มสุดท้ายของ Nirvana เปิดตัวครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 21 กันยายน 1993 เป็นผลงานที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงสุ้มเสียงที่โดดเด่นเป็นเอกลักษณ์จากการสร้างสรรค์ของ เคิร์ต โคเบน (Kurt Cobain), เดฟ โกรห์ล (Dave Grohl) และ คริส โนโวเซลิค (Krist Novoselic)
In Utero โปรดิวซ์โดย สตีฟ อัลบินี (Steve Albini) และบันทึกเสียงนานกว่า 6 วันที่ Pachyderm Studio ใน Cannon Falls รัฐมินนิโซตา เป็นอัลบั้มสุดท้ายของ Nirvana ก่อนที่โคเบนจะเสียชีวิตเกือบ 7 เดือนต่อมาในปี 1994
เพื่อเป็นการฉลองครบรอบ 30 ปีของการเปิดตัวอัลบั้มชุดนี้ ซึ่งเป็นอัลบั้มแรกของวงที่เปิดตัวด้วยอันดับ 1 บนชาร์ต Billboard 200 ได้มีการนำอัลบั้มชุดนี้มารีมาสเตอร์และจะออกในวันที่ 27 ตุลาคมนี้
คอลเล็กชันนี้มีจำหน่ายในหลายรูปแบบ รวมถึงดิจิทัล Super Deluxe, 8-LP Super Deluxe รุ่นลิมิเต็ด และบ็อกซ์เซต Super Deluxe 5-CD พร้อมด้วย 1-LP และ 10” และ 2-CD Deluxe editions
นอกเหนือจากเวอร์ชันรีมาสเตอร์ใหม่ของอัลบั้ม ซึ่งได้มาจากเทปสเตอริโอแอนะล็อกดั้งเดิมจาก บ็อบ เวสตัน (Bob Weston) ที่ Chicago Mastering Services พร้อมด้วยโบนัสแทร็ก 5 แทร็กและ B-side อัลบั้มนี้ยังมีเพลงที่หาฟังยากและอีกหลาย 10 เพลงที่ยังไม่เคยเผยแพร่มาก่อน
นอกจากนี้ในเซตยังมาพร้อมอัลบั้มบันทึกการแสดงสดแบบเต็มรูปแบบ 2 โชว์ที่บันทึกไว้ในระหว่างการทัวร์ในยุค In Utero ได้แก่ Live In Los Angeles จากปี 1993 และการแสดงครั้งสุดท้ายของวงในซีแอตเทิล Live In Seattle จากปี 1994 บทเพลงจากการแสดงสดถูกสร้างขึ้นใหม่จากเทปซาวด์บอร์ดสเตอริโอโดย แจ็ก เอ็นดิโน (Jack Endino) โปรดิวเซอร์และซาวด์เอ็นจิเนียร์ชาวซีแอตเทิล ซึ่งเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ให้กับ Nirvana ในอัลบั้มเปิดตัว ‘Bleach’ ในปี 1988
ชุด Super Deluxe ยังมีแผงอะคริลิกด้านหน้าที่ถอดออกได้พร้อมงานศิลปะ ‘In Utero Angel’ อันเป็นเสมือนโลโก้ของอัลบั้มชุดนี้ พร้อมด้วยหนังสือปกแข็ง 48 หน้าพร้อมรูปถ่ายที่ยังไม่เคยเผยแพร่มาก่อน ใบปลิวโปรโมชันร้านแผ่นเสียง ต้นขั้วตั๋ว 2 ใบสำหรับคอนเสิร์ตในลอสแองเจลิสและซีแอตเทิล และอีกมากมาย
