Bandai Namco Entertainment ออกมายืนยันก่อนหน้านี้ ว่าจะวางจำหน่าย Super Robot Wars V กับ Super Robot Wars X ให้กับ Nintendo Switch และ Steam เร็วๆ นี้ และได้รับการยืนยันว่าเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ มีภาษาอังกฤษแน่นอน
Super Robot Wars V จะวางจำหน่ายให้กับ Nintendo Switch วันที่ 3 ตุลาคม 2019 นี้ ทั้งในประเทศญี่ปุ่นและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ตัวเกมจะมีโบนัสเพิ่มเนื้อเรื่องให้เล่นกันอีกถึง 20 ด่าน จากเดิมที่ต้องจ่ายเงินซื้อกันตั้งแต่สมัยวางจำหน่ายให้กับ Playstation 4 กับ Playstation Vita
Super Robot Wars ถือว่าเป็นเกมที่ออกวางจำหน่ายมาอย่างยาวนาน มีหุ่นยนต์มากมายในซีรีส์นี้ จนในปี 2016 ก็ครบรอบ 25 ปี Super Robot Wars V ถือว่าเป็นเกมที่ออกมาช่วงนั้นพอดี วางจำหน่ายครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2017
