ปล่อยออกมาวันฮัลโลวีนพอดี กับซิงเกิ้ลใหม่ในรอบ 4 ปีของ “Slipknot” วงเมทัลที่ซ่อนความดุเดือดเอาไว้ภายใต้หน้ากาก กับเพลงที่มีชื่อว่า “All Out Life” บทเพลงที่จะมาเขย่าวงการเพลงให้สั่นสะเทือน ด้วยการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์อย่างแสบๆคันๆ เนื้อหาของเพลงพูดถึงการที่คนรุ่นใหม่มักมองว่า “เพลงเก่า” นี้มันเชย มันล้าสมัยไปแล้วโดยไม่ได้มองเลยว่าไอ้ที่มีเพลงใหม่ๆแนวๆในทุกวันนี้ให้ได้ฟังก็เพราะมีเพลงเก่าๆเก๋าๆแบบนั้นมาก่อน เหมือนกับที่ Corey Taylor ได้กล่าวเอาไว้ว่า “มันก็เหมือนกับว่า ผมชอบเพลงใหม่ๆแต่ในขณะเดียวกันเราก็ไม่ควรที่จะหันหลังให้กับเพลงเก่าๆที่เคยมีมาก่อน”
“All Out Life” เป็นเพลงที่พยายามจะพูดถึงสองเรื่อง หนึ่งก็คือการหลอมรวมให้ทุกคนเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกัน แต่ในขณะเดียวกันมันก็ย้ำเตือนว่าอดีตนั้นไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เราควรมองข้ามหรือมองกลับไปด้วยท่าทีเหยียดหยาม คนเรามักจะกระเหี้ยนกระหือรือที่จะไขว่คว้าหาสิ่งใหม่แต่กลับทำเสื่อมๆกับวงดนตรีหรือศิลปินที่มีมาก่อน ทำเป็นละเลยอดีตราวกับว่ามันเป็นอาจมยังไงยังงั้นเลย ทำไมเราจะต้องสนใจอนาคตอันจืดชืดในขณะที่เราไม่สามารถที่จะเฉลิมฉลองให้กับอดีตอันน่าอัศจรรย์ใจเหล่านั้น? ผมชอบฟังเพลงฮิตๆในอดีตเหล่านั้นมากกว่าที่จะฟังเพลงบ้าๆบางเพลงสมัยนี้ “All Out Life” เป็นเหมือนกับเพลงสดุดีที่คอยย้ำเตือนว่าดนตรีนั้นไร้กาลเวลา มันยังคงมีค่าและเปี่ยมด้วยพลังเสมอ
ในเรื่องของดนตรี เพลงนี้มีทั้งรสชาติดิบๆเดือดๆแบบงานเพลงยุคอัลบั้ม Iowa และ Slipknot ซึ่งก็แน่นอนว่าจะต้องแตกต่างจากอัลบั้มก่อนหน้านี้ในปี 2014 อย่าง .5: The Gray Chapter
ท่อนอินโทรเปิดมาด้วยซาวด์อิเล็คทรอนิก ตามมาด้วยริฟฟ์กีตาร์อันดุดัน ก่อนจะปิดท้ายด้วยเสียงสำรอกโฮกจาก Corey ต้องอย่างนี้สิ Slipknot!
ส่วนคนกำกับ MV นั้นก็ไม่ใช่ใครที่ไหนไกล หากแต่เป็นนาย M.
