หลังจากที่เจอกระแสสังคมโจมตีอย่างหนักเกี่ยวกับประเด็นเรื่องการลดประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของไอโฟนตามสภาพของแบตเตอรีจน Apple ต้องทำการออกบริการเปลี่ยนแบตเตอรีในราคา 29 ดอลลาร์ หรือ 1,000 บาท เพื่อลดกระแสความกดดันลงไป ทว่าล่าสุดดูเหมือนว่าจะมีปัญหาใหม่ ๆ เพิ่มเข้ามา โดยผู้ใช้ไอโฟนหลายรายในสหรัฐฯ ที่นำไอโฟนไปเปลี่ยนแบตฯ ตามโปรแกรมดังกล่าวกับทาง Apple Store นั้น กลับต้องเจอปัญหาที่ยุ่งยาก โดยเฉพาะเรื่องของแบตเตอรีที่ขาดตลาด
ผู้ใช้ไอโฟนที่เจอปัญหาดังกล่าว ได้ระบายความไม่พอใจลงในทวิตเตอร์ โดยบางเคสนั้นผู้ใช้ได้ทำการนัดแนะกับทาง Apple Store เอาไว้แล้ว แต่ทว่าเมื่อถึงเวลาเดินทางไปตามนัดเปลี่ยนแบตฯ ทางร้านกลับแจ้งมาว่าแบตเตอรีหมด ขณะที่บางรายนั้นทาง Apple Store ไม่รับเปลี่ยนเครื่องโดยแจ้งลูกค้าว่าตัวแบตเดิมอยู่ในสภาพดีอยู่แล้วและเมื่อลองทดสอบประสิทธิภาพแล้วอยู่ในเกณฑ์สีเขียว ทั้งที่ตัวแบตมีสภาพบวม จนต่อมาลูกค้าดังกล่าวได้ทำการเปลี่ยนแบตฯ และทำการทดสอบประสิทธิภาพ GeekBench ซึ่งก็ปรากฏว่าผลการทดสอบนั้นดีขึ้นกว่าเดิมอย่างเห็นได้ชัด

@Apple @AppleSupport I went through your test with Support and they told me that needed a replacement battery. Was told there was no Mail-In option (UK), so was made an appointment at Trafford. Took the day off work to find out they dont have any batteries, so no fix for me! 🙁
